Chapter History

Northern Maryland ZTA started in 1978 when our sister, Gerry Weinberger, moved to Maryland. Looking to connect with a group of women with whom she had a common bond, Gerry contacted International Office about starting an alumnae chapter in Northern Maryland and got a list of names. Gerry called sisters on the list and even put ads in the local papers. Because of her dedication and the dedication of other chapter sisters such as Madeleine Bryant, Valerie Roddy, Nancy Reigle, Jane Heill, and Kathy Goedeke, the Northern Maryland Alumnae chapter was officially installed in 1981. Thank you to these sisters for starting a legacy from which we all can benefit!
